SEAWORLD
|
|
Today we headed to Seaworld, one of my favourite places to be in the world. The dolphins were just as spectacular as last time, and the new Shark Lagoon is probably the best underwater shark viewing that I've ever seen (compared with Melbourne, London and Monaco)....unfortunately no interacting with the animals this time, perhaps next time we go

DREAMWORLD & BIG BROTHER

Up bright and early for a day at Dreamworld! The 8 of us headed off for a long day (stayed after the park closed for the 2nd Big Brother Eviction!). It was great to have everyone together after the months that Jacqui, Shaun and Michael had been away, and also a great opportunity to properly get to know Shane.
The Eviction Show was excellent - we had seats in rows 5 and 6 and were right next to the walkway that the evictees walk down to the stage. Seeing how the show is made was really interesting and we had picked a great night to go, as we not only saw Gianna (evictee #2) but also the other evictees Angela (#1) and Nelson and Constance (the two evicted for breaking the rules). Apparently Chris made it onto TV!!

GRUMPY!!

Our first week away from the baby! We left a very grumpy Guinness in Adelaide for a week, while we travelled to Bellbird Park (near Goodna/Ipswich area in Queensland) to visit Chris' Mum and brothers...
Very big thanks to Aimee for looking after Guinness for us!!!!

Guinness had his first date with Tia today...she loved his long ears and they had a good romp together!

ANZAC Day Parade, Adelaide
|
|
My father marches in the ANZAC Day parade every year, because he served in Vietnam as a young man. I am very proud of him for what he went through, for staying strong after what he had to see and do, and for being the man that he is today. To watch him marching fills me with a sense of pride and I am glad to be able to share this with him.
I love my Dad so much and I hate that he had to go to Vietnam. But I know that the person that there were positive things that came from his time there and has partially moulded him into the person he is today. That person is part of who I am, and I am proud of that.
So many men and women were affected by the awful things that have happened in the past: the Vietnam War, World War I and II. It is sad each year to see the number of survivors dwindling...but ANZAC Day lets us remember them and be thankful for what they achieved for us.
Thanks Dad, for teaching me about these things, for helping to mould me into the person I am and making me become someone who understands about the past. Thanks for being my Dad - I love you xoxoxo
